In 1879, our family journeyed across the country, discovering both solace and beauty in the rolling hills of Genesee, Colorado. Our great-great-grandfather, Lucian Hunter Ralston, was a pioneer of the Rocky Mountains, becoming a respected and influential figure in the region for decades, dedicated to serving the local community. For 145 years, this land has provided safety, a home, countless adventures, and entrepreneurial opportunities for his descendants. Today, his legacy is proudly carried forward by Andrew Lunsford, an Alaskan-raised Navy combat veteran, who married into this rich heritage and founded Rocky Mountain Land & Fire Co. with his bride, Alyssa Lunsford.

Growing up in blue-collar homes, both Andrew and Alyssa learned the value of hard work, dedication, and provision from an early age. Over time, their families became self-made, instilling in them a strong sense of entrepreneurship and perseverance. As a Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Corpsman embedded with his Marines, Andrew honed his ability to navigate high-pressure, unpredictable environments, a skill that seamlessly translates to the challenges of land management. Whether it’s clearing brush to reduce fire hazards, digging posts for secure fencing, managing snow removal during harsh Colorado winters, or providing urgent transportation through hot shot load services, his experience taught him to operate efficiently under tough conditions. Just as he provided care to his brothers in arms, Andrew now applies the same commitment to protecting property and ensuring the safety of our local communities through fire mitigation, land services, and fast, reliable transportation.

Alyssa Lunsford, a 5th-generation Colorado native, brings a wealth of expertise in digital marketing and journalism. Having owned a boutique digital marketing company for over a decade, focused on the military and special operations space, she has extensive experience with writing, marketing, and nonprofit work. Alyssa’s deep roots in Colorado and her professional background help drive the business’s strong focus on communication, customer satisfaction, and community engagement. Together, Andrew and Alyssa combine their unique skills to offer expert land clearing, fire mitigation, snow removal, hot shot load services, and fence post installation services to both residential and commercial clients across Colorado.
